Oh I am even worse. I appear fine and fully mobile. I have lots of small damage down my entire cervical and thoracic spine. I took the equivalent of a head first dive from a 10 story building wearing a bicycle helmet and survived. My issue is posture. It is particularly cruel because I just seem weird and tense and can’t control conversation well. You can’t see the pain and how I’m falling apart just to sit up or stand. I lost my ability to be myself and function unless I am lying reclined.
If it helps you feel better, I know hundreds of people who have both legs and are still sheila-less
