Slightly misleading title: Preliminary estimates range from 80-200 dead, uncounted hundreds wounded.

    Fuck israel.

No. The article says the number wounded is likely in the hundreds. The headline is exaggerating a tragic event.

Let’s not split hairs between dead or wounded. Getting wounded while starving and no hospitals functioning and everyone around you has dysentery dooms someone to a very slow, very painful death.

I’m not splitting hairs over dead vs wounded.

The headline says thousands were gunned down (dead and wounded: total casualties), but the article says combined dead and wounded are in the hundreds.

I’m “splitting hairs” over the headline exaggerating an already horrific event by an order of magnitude.

They’re shooting to kill. If they hit someone, that person has been gunned down whether they die immediately or after bleeding out. They’re shooting at a crowd of thousands, and 800 are dead or dying as a result, according to Al Jazeera. So maybe we need to wait a few more hours before the 1000+ number can be confirmed, but it’s already obvious Israel was aiming for ‘thousands’.
