Every time I open a new page on Lemmy I have an annoying animation of the notification icon in the address bar. If I click on it and press “Always Block” icon disappears. But after page is reloaded it twitches again.
Same happens if I change “Send notification” option in site permissions, it resets to default when I reopen permissions.
How do I fix this?
Interesting, since it works for me as intended without the described behaviour here. Therefore, I would try it in a clean LibreWolf installation, maybe even in a private window. Seeing it works for me just fine, there will be something on your end which causes this behaviour. For this reason, you need to find what causes it. Try disabling all add-ons, if you have any. Do you, for example, clean cache, cookies, site data, etc. automatically or something similar? But you said this is happening even without closing your browser, just opening a new tab, for example. That seems strange. As if the browser did not store any settings at all…
For some reason I had “permissions.default.desktop-notification” flag set to 2 in my config. I’ve changed it to 0 and that fixed it for me.
