@yogthos
Those numbers are impressive, 4.6 million STEM graduates vs 330k in the US in one year!? Holy shit! No wonder they are advancing so quickly, they are actually investing in their future, unlike the West.@yogthos to make this even more striking, I would be very interested to know how many foreign students are included in the US numbers…specifically how many are actually Chinese Foreign nationals that simply return home with their new-found American education.
Capitalism would be so hilarious if it wasn’t just sad. The system sows the seeds of its own demise with such short-sightedness, and unfortunately we as citizens of the west suffer.
That’s actually an interesting point, vast majority of students from China who come to study in the west end up returning home. This also completely disproves the whole narrative that life in the west is somehow better. If that was the case then people who got to live both in China and in the west would want to stay in the west instead of coming home.
Wow, that’s incredible! I didn’t know China used double the energy of the US. Energy usage is a good proxy for how advanced a civilization and double the 2nd largest is very impressive!
Paper tiger.
