        It would be possible to take it down just in Japan…

        Some country could literally make copyright laws on speach, would Google comply and take down all of Youtube?

        I absolutely get that the Japanese copyright laws are absolutely idiotic, but why does Google comply so much?..

            Yes i know, Google frequently does such things when Germany lets them take down hatespeach or videos that would violate the German laws regarding nazi symbolism. They also did that when a German copyright agency just claimed everything even if it wasn’t actually theirs or protected under different laws. They just put the “this video is not available in your country because your laws suck” screen on a video claimed. It was however available from everywhere else.

    RIP Dark Souls modding community on YouTube

    This kind of shit was probably already automated to some degree, and I could see it being even more so now and in the future because of AI making it easier to identify things in videos.
