It’s been years, but according to Steam I put 22 hours into Fallout, which was enough to beat the game. I never got around to Fallout 2 though, so I can’t speak to how long it takes, other than having heard it’s a much larger game
Fallout 2 has a few heaps more side content and replay value. You can also continue playing even after the main quest until that arbitrary 13 in-game year timer goes off. That said, I wouldn’t say it goes much beyond… 35+ hours if you want to soak it up?
I’ve an itch to play fallout since the show dropped. I want to play Fallout 2 but I don’t want to spend a hundred hours on it.
