They accuse us of voting then hibernating until the next election as if they don’t do the same thing except for bitching about not voting or voting third party and then hibernating until the next election.

There was a post with a ton of people complaining about blocking the Golden Gate Bridge. Let me guess … you have a problem with “disruptive” (read: effective) protests.

Not really a personal attack, if that’s not your take … cool! Just pointing out the heat I’ve seen over protests, and the hypocrisy of complaining that leftists don’t do anything. Leftists do participate in public politics, but people largely complain when we do.

Disruptive protests are not effective unless you have an actual majority of the population backing them, otherwise they’re actively counterproductive. Politics is optics. If it makes you look bad to the average voter, it won’t work.

You want visibility, not disruption. Annoyed people are nearly impossible to convince, they won’t listen to you, they just want you to go away. Even if they are people who would agree with you if you managed to get them to listen.

Like I’m having to change my vote as I read.

But I think we can all agree the continued military aid to a country commiting genocide in Palestine is a disgusting consequence of our dysfunctional government.

It’s fucking treason. They are plotting a violent government takeover. Why are the people running that site not in prison? It’s textbook RICO as they’ve taken multiple steps towards the crime already.

Hey cloth trashbags would actually be better for the environment. And by cloth i mean 100% natural fiber like cotton or hemp. None of that polyester crap which probably factors more into the plastic pfas mess than anyone will admit

My city uses totes. I’ve started lining them with a contractor bag and dumping my trash into that.

Partly to reduce plastic (re-using the indoor liners until they are too funky to continue). Mostly because the tote is smaller on the bottom than on the top and this results in a lot of void space, and they charge us extra if we go over the tote.

I kinda do that too, but the trash goes into a “dumpster” i made from a deck box from home depot then that gets hauled the landfill when full. No monthly fee to jack with as i dont generate that much trash per month.

So, is the message that, in reality, the woman is fully in the trash (and likely dismembered), instead of portrayed as happy at being treated like trash and smiling to helps us maintain the fiction that it is being done without violence?

Getting some strong happily-slaughtered animal-product ads vibes from this mashup. Given the GOP stance on women these days, the meme may be a bit too on point…
