Friend of mine that lives in Gerlach got it at about 11 last night. Crazy that it made it this far south.

    I’m heading out tonight to see it. Someone near the Colorado-Wyoming border was able to see the more intense colours with the naked eye and photograph with this quality using only a phone on night mode with a 3 second exposure time. For comparison’s sake, during the last big solar storm this year the aurora wasn’t visible to the naked eye and required a 30 minute exposure for the same quality image.
