It’s the fact that he’s a Putin stooge and an information terrorist. He has all the secrets, everyone’s, but only releases those that help his and his benefactors political views, and withholding secrets that hurt his side, essentially turning secrets into a weapon. I believe a bond villain literally did that.
I have no sympathy for this guy. He’s not a whistle blower or noble believer of truth. He is a self interested, selfish, rich old fuck, just like the rest of them.
I believe his wealth is somewhere in the 100 million mark still, how did he get that while other whistle blowers got nothing and just went straight to jail?
So I checked the top 3 websites and they all give wildly different net worth figures for assange, with none of them citing sources.
The best example I found of him being a rich person that is verifiable is this:

He’s not a sympathetic character and he appears to have something bordering on a messiah complex. At the same time I think the vindictive use of the courts and the expense spent on pursuing him have been bad form by the USA/UK.
The actual “hacking” charge they are trying to stick on him is extremely tenuous and sets a bad precedent. Most recently Biden has been considering a request from Australia to allow him to be released to them.
