Can someone please explain this event to me? I know it’s grossly exaggerated and there’s some CIA elements to it like operation yellowbird but I can’t seem to get over the rut of smuglord fucks enthusiastically using it to shut me down when we have a discussion.

There was also a Portuguese(?) ambassador who gave a first hand account that pretty much disproves the “accepted narrative” but I’m not looking up sources on my lunch break
There was also a Spanish news crew in the square all night. They show some footage of the corpses of some of the PLA soldiers that were tortured to death, and a couple civilian corpses as well, but you can clearly see when the order to disperse was given and the news crew follows the crowd out of the square as they sing The Internationale.
