honestly all the anti-ukraine talk from the far right is making me think that maybe liberals have a point about russian funding.

like in what universe would tucker carlson see a bunch of nazis and completely independantly say “those are bad”

      Its just contrarianism and opportunism.

If the democrats came out against baby-eating the republicans would be supporting it. Now that the democrats are pro-war and pro-nazi, the republicans are obligated to take some positions against that. Don’t forget that these same republicans were happy to murder a million people in Iraq a few years ago.

Exactly. It’s reactionary populism and contrarianism. Sorta like when Tucker was talking about climate change and it’s affect on immigration. It was just Eco-fascist talking points, but people were posting things like “Based Tucker?” Like no motherfucker, it’s populism. Stop falling for that shit

Possibly because the libs support those nazis. A lot of right wing media is rooted in contrarianism against the “mainstream media”.

It’s a combination of contrarianism and sheephearding. People like Tucker realise there’s a growing unrest in the population, so they will co-opt left wing talking points to funnel these people towards the far right and fascism. Hence why he rails against the elites while being one.

Essentially, they are reflexively anti lib. By being so, even if they are right wing, they will accidentally have the correct take now and then. Vs. Leftists who are anti i-lib but based on processed thought.

apparently their reasoning is that they want to ‘take down the liberal globalist elite’ and that they think ukraine is one of the places of the globalist elite corruption taking place. Also they like the conservatism in russia

I don’t necessarily doubt it, personally. I think Russia would be foolish to give up the same tools that the US uses all the time. But I think a bigger part of it was the fact that Russia hacked the RNC and has stuff on a lot of people. They hacked the DNC, too, and then WikiLeaks released their emails.

I think a lot of people just blew off Russian election interference as an excuse from the Democrats, and it was certainly used that way, but looking at current events, why wouldn’t Putin try that before it escalated to what’s going on now?

I think they’re as pissed off as we are at Liberals suddenly supporting Nazis. The absolute hypocrisy from our mutual enemy in the middle is too astounding to ignore.
