minus-squareacockworkorangelinkfedilinkarrow-up3·2 days agoProtein. Bones are made of mostly collagen, with calcium nodules to act as rigidity-giving bricks. Babies have yet to calcify a lot of their skeleton. It’s only in puberty we finally calcify it all, thus finishing growth.
