Probably they think it’s a lazy meditative hobby where with enough patience and no skill you can get a stock art (thinking pieces you get for cheap for home decor) of a thing you was thinking about and share it with your friends on whatsapp or facebook. Even less demanding than coloring b\w prints with markers or using a drawing-a-picture set. It’s fine.
