Look; this instance exist because of censorship. Mostly anti covid and election interferance censorship.

I’m trying to set an example for freedom of expression here. That means I need to occasionally tolerate views I don’t agree with. Like communist who deny genocide is taking place. Or people who think interracial marriage leads to inferior offspring. (My children are mixed, i’m in a interracial marriage )

But we need to make one thing clear. Nazis absolutely disgust me.

I have Jewish friends and they don’t shape shift at night.

That said; if someone respectfully expresses an opinion especially backed with articles and science I will not censor it.

If you think someone is so terrible but aren’t willing to put in the effort to “debunk” their claims then in my mind you just accept they are right.

We have user block; community block functions and everyone can use them if they don’t like content.

For the most part I don’t get people here complaining about to many bad opinions but generally want less censorship.

But there is occasionally those that do here and else where so I need to virtue signal a bit here.

    Trump supporters are not racist or Nazis and I am unvaxed.

    You can fuck off with that garbage.

    Having a official stance while still protecting the actual speech is unfortunately necessary to combat our detractors.

    If we lose a few users along the way due to that strictly moral stance they probably aren’t users that will help us grow anyway.

    I’m not actually censoring anyone’s speech BTW.

        I really enjoyed Ruqqus before the exodus.

        statements like these coming from a site’s creator will only discourage potential users from joining.

        That’s fine for now. I don’t want to be overloaded with Nazi propaganda.

            They would never ban stuff like trump supporter forums.

            I’m getting kinda tired of people labeling racewar people as right wing. That should be it’s own category of politics.

            The whole point of this platform is to build a federated system where no single admin has the power to do shit like that.

            And to not give money and views to places like reddit and facebook that hate you.
