    “The facts”

All the bullshit we just repeat all the time and pretend it’s true. Like China being aggressive, etc.

I don’t give a shit if Trump can recite your bullshit or not, if I’m super honest.

“Moving forward” / “going forward” are such annoying lib weasel words. I wish Americans made the simple effort of translating political speech into everyday speech to understand that pols are full of bullshit.

Mom: “Your room is a pigsty. When are you going to clean it up?”

Teenage child: “Moving forward I must address that issue.”

It’s ironic because he killed any hope we had left in electoral politics. First in 2008 with his JP Morgan cabinet, and then in 2020 by telling everyone to rally around the man with Parkinson’s dementia to stop the socdem.

I’ll always be annoyed with myself that I didn’t become a leftist in the early 1990s after I read Manufacturing Consent. I don’t know how to describe it other than to say I had “two party” brain. I simply couldn’t expand my thinking to understand that’s a stupid way of looking at the world and idiotic mental trap.

And by ~2010 I again should have made a left turn because of how Obama expanded Dubya’s national security state apparatus. Also - for the first time I saw how shitty Obama and the dems were on handling insane levels of white collar crime. In the aftermath of the economic crisis not a single fucking bankster went on trial (on a city or state or federal level) for their crimes. Not a single one. And libs still say “no one is above the law”.

And I kept thinking voting democrat would work out somehow. Even then I still had “two party” brain. It’s pretty funny to me it took Trump of all people to finally make me realize how garbage the dems were, always have been, and always will be.

2020 was what sealed it for me. I used to think everything the Democrats was good until 2016, when I started to learn the difference between libs and social democrats. It was then that when I learned that good left politics was supposed to get rid of capitalism and have democracy start from the bottom at the workplace that I realized the whole system was stupid, with Bernie being the last nail.

He must have planned ahead to post that before the conference was over if any mistakes or errors could be dismissed by words like “flubs”. And I assume he had other drafts ready to go if things went worse like “Look, that was rough but…”

    Talk about “priors”.

He is doing the exact annoying thing Ben Shapiro does where he packages one neutral statement saying nothing and one line of dishonest spin and one red herring into three declaratives, so his faction can more easily feign that their preferred narrative is the objective reality, and that they are unbothered by what is clearly shaking their faith.

The day the NYT created this page - Which Democrats Have Called for Biden to Drop Out of the Race? - Bluesky libs had great fun with it. They really did. They said stuff like “It’s only six reps. And FIVE journalists are keeping score! That’s almost one journalist per rep!”

But their laughter quickly fell away.

Right now the page shows 17 reps and 1 senator. And the libs can still laugh at us and laugh at the public and laugh about Biden’s “flubs” and they can rage at the media. But they know in their heart of hearts Biden is one bad day away from that those stats jumping up high which means he’s going to lose the nomination. I post a screen grab when the numbers go up. If he is forced to drop out - I’m going to enjoy saying “I toldja so.” And if he survives beyond the convention and then has his bad day(s) and he’s doomed - I’ll still be able to say it.

        lets-fucking-go

ONE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF BAYESIAN STATISTICS IS THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO UPDATE YOUR INITIAL HYPOTHESIS ABOUT HOW A POPULATION OF INTEREST IS DISTRIBUTED BASED ON NEW INFORMATION. THUS, YOU DON’T CONFIRM YOUR PRIORS, YOU UPDATE THEM IN RESPONSE TO INFORMATION DERIVED FROM A SAMPLE (WHICH CONTINUES TO BE A SYSTEMATIC SET OF MEASUREMENTS OF MORE THAN ONE THING AND HAS NOT, NOR HAS IT EVER BEEN, WHAT A JOURNALIST SEES ON A TV SHOW), AND THE EXTENT TO WHICH YOU UPDATE THEM REVEALS INFORMATION ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THOSE INITIAL ASSUMPTIONS. TO STATE THAT YOU ARE CONFIRMING YOUR PRIORS IS TO REVEAL THAT YOU NEVER INTENDED TO REVISIT YOUR ASSUMPTIONS IN THE FIRST PLACE AND ARE INCAPABLE OF REASONING, NOT ENGAGING IN IT.

You have to continuously observe Biden after observed to be absent. This is trivially done due to the low probability of being observed to be present. Unfortunately, without immediate intervention, if Biden is allowed to go unobserved, he will resume quantum indeterminacy.

They’re surprisingly diverse politically. Libertarians and communists and crypto-fascists. I don’t think any identify with the republicans or democrats because that’s normal and the whole thing is about feeling smarter than the normies.

Libs: Hey, naïve little brains - do not allow your priors to influence your perspective.

    Also libs:…

He’s elderly and he doesn’t express himself as well as he used to, but the dementia/cognitive dysfunction allegations are clearly bullshit.

These guys act like they just fell out of a coconut tree. No shit people will understand an event in the context of their previous experiences.
