I don’t think Leonardo Da Vinci has a worst song.
I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist.
I’m not sure I can pick. Basically everything after the Black album.
Probably Mama Said. 🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🥴
I thought hardwired was pretty good overall, but man 72 seasons is rough.
I enjoy Mama Said. Nice to hear someone work through their demons with their parents. Maybe one day I’ll get there.
Probably Amon Amarth’s Oden Owns You All, from The Great Heathen Army. It’s just… boring. There’s nothing in it. The entire record feels a little inconsistent, but I’d rather listen to something off Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds.
Context:
Amon Amarth, Swedish Melodic Death Metal Band
The Great Heathen Army, Amon Amarth’s latest record
Sorrow Throuout The Nine Worlds, Amon Amarth’s first EP, released before their first album
Yeah they’re in a bit of a rut as far as I’m concerned.
It’s kinda funny, I saw them live a couple of weeks ago, and they only played one song from the great heathen army, heidrun. Most played were from jomsviking, berserker and twilight of the thunder god, with 3 each. Still an amazing show though lml
Dream Theater - Anna Lee
It’s not really a bad song, it’s just incredibly boring compared to the rest of their catalog. I’m not opposed to (their) slow songs either, just that one. This one’s rough… I don’t really dislike any of Ghost’s songs, but if I had to pick one as the worst… Ig Opus Eponymus - Prime Mover. Still a good song, I just don’t vibe with it as much.
Pearl Jam - Bugs
I’m not even sure if it’s a song, but it is unlistenable.
Hah, I love this track, but kind of ironically. It’s fun when it comes up on shuffle.
Of their popular ones, Be My Yoko Ono by Barenaked Ladies. They have worse songs, but that one is really popular and I just hate it.
Elvis Costello - just about anything off of Goodbye Cruel World. Even he admits that it’s a terrible album.
I don’t know that my absolute favorite artist has a bad song. But here are a few songs I hate by artists that I love:
Bloc Party (original lineup/first 4 albums): 3 x 3. Not sure why, just feels anxious in a bad way? Always a skip for me.
Keane: Ishin Denshin (You’ve Got To Help Yourself). This is a cover from an EP so maybe too deep of a cut, but man do I hate this track. Just feels cloying and awkward. Like they were trying to recreate the original but were too in awe of it.
Peter Bjorn and John: The Feeling. The first track from their true followup to Writer’s Block. Just feels like it’s a song that’s weird for the sake of being weird.
Led Zeppelin’s Hot Dog song comes to mind.
You shut your mouth! That song is hilarious!
That’s my favorite band, too, and I’m having trouble coming up with anything else to put here, though. I would put The Crunge below Hot Dog. But I still like that song, too. :D
Relapse was rough.
I liked a couple of the songs, but Bagpipes from Baghdad doesn’t sound good (though I don’t hate the instrumental). 3 AM and My Mom are similar where you can see something almost there, but the total package just doesn’t work.
I like that Em even called it out on Recovery, not that the album that brought us “window pane” was lyrically that much better, but there’s at least a few tracks off of it that I can name and still listen to.
Pretty much any CHVRCHES song with Martin on vocals. I just really don’t like his voice.
Metallica - 2x4. It actually got me to stop my listen through of their albums one song into Load, and was a week or two before I pushed through to the rest of the album.
St. Anger has some boring songs, but this song I actively loathe.
Metallica had this thing where every song they made ended up on an album. Loaf and ReLoad should’ve been one album. They have some great songs, but some pretty awful ones too
I’m kind of annoyed that their cover of Ecstasy of Gold didn’t make it onto Garage Inc.
Yeah, I originally thought it was a one-off for S&M, and then they started using it when they walked on stage. But then I saw some live footage from before S&M, with EoG in the background as they arrived, so it has obviously been part of their catalog for a while.
That has been their opening music since the early 90’s or even earlier. I think Justice was the first time they started using it.

I don’t know if he’s my favorite anymore (thanks ADHD), but John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change” is obnoxious AF. I like the message, but I just do not vibe with the song at all.
