For once, I think Everett’s reaction is pretty justified.
Everett’s reaction is always justified. Bro is my spirit animal.
Not always. I saw a comic where he destroyed the dining room table, and the meal his wife just cooked, because it was leftovers. I’d LOVE for a woman to cook food for me every night. If we have leftovers sometimes, eh, good food is still good food.
Yeah, Condo was doing like 5 comics a week in this period, he’s bound to have misses, we just usually don’t pick them.
Like here’s one in which he tells his employee to do something, the employee doesn’t get it, so Everett just slugs him in the face: https://tile.loc.gov/storage-services/service/ndnp/mimtptc/batch_mimtptc_ingalls_ver01/data/sn83016689/00279552039/1914091701/0925.pdf
But the employee kept pretending another grandma died, so he could go see Babe Ruth trot slowly and majestically around the bases. Wait…that guy was justified in sneaking out of work. Pick Ruth over the office. 👍
With a bonus Osgar&Adolf! I don’t get the punchline
It wasn’t even because it was leftovers. It was because she suggested there was enough that there WOULD BE leftovers. The meal itself was an amazing, freshly roasted turkey with stuffing and sides.
Let’s get jackets with stitched logos, this is the cultus of Everett.
Yeah, it’s a repulsive thing to do in front of others. Just …find some privacy and do that. Carry a spittoon around, so people know to stay away.
It’s wild Everett managed to be morbidly obese back then. I wonder how big he’d be in today’s world?
I’m not really mad at him, just an observation.
@MeDuViNoX @Rolando he’s not morbidly obese, he’s approaching deadly geometric perfection. Like a cannonball, or a sphere of red-hot nickel, or the Demon Core.

What’s crazy is just how fast that happened.
Go look at pictures of kids in the 70s. They were all bone skinny, like there was no such thing as food.
Same thing for the most part in the 80s…but you had a few chubbies around.
Then in the 90s, kids were a bit fatter, but still not actually fat. But there were some fat kids running around.
By the 2000s, there were more fat kids than skinny ones.
In the 2010s, the idea of skinny kids was rare.
And now in the 2020s I see kids that weigh more than I do as a 41 year old adult.
But the 70s in terms of human evolution wasn’t that long ago. Hell, 100 years wasn’t THAT long ago. But to see kids go from weighing 40lbs to 300lbs is truely baffling.
And now consider that 100 years ago life was harder. You had to do everything manually. You had to work for it. You had to burn calories.
Now everything is instant and automatic.
