The United States has spent a record of at least $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel since the war in Gaza began and led to escalating conflict around the Middle East, according to a report for Brown University’s Costs of War project, released on the anniversary of Hamas’ attacks on Israel.

An additional $4.86 billion has gone into stepped-up U.S. military operations in the region since the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks, researchers said in findings first provided to The Associated Press. That includes the costs of a Navy-led campaign to quell strikes on commercial shipping by Yemen’s Houthis, who are carrying them out in solidarity with the fellow Iranian-backed group Hamas.

The report — completed before Israel opened a second front, this one against Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants in Lebanon, in late September — is one of the first tallies of estimated U.S. costs as the Biden administration backs Israel in its conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon and seeks to contain hostilities by Iran-allied armed groups in the region.

I’m not fine with genocide, I simply have no more capacity to care about yours. That is the point, not whatever incredibly stupid idea you got into your head.

I don’t want to be responsible for genocide, but I also can’t stop another one that has nothing to do with me.

Are you asking the people of Botswana to come fight your war? Chile? The West andes? No? Why not?

Yes, you don’t care about genocide, we all got it, you’ve been very clear.

Yeah you know what why not you’re right. Congrats. Now stop begging my country to ignore it’s own problems for yours. I’m not getting drafted to go die for you, as I wouldn’t want you to die for me.

Don’t really know what country I’m begging to care about the US’s problems, but you have fun with, uh, whatever weird pro-genocide position you got going on there.

The US is not involved in Ukraine, you’re begging random poor people that in the US to care about Ukraine when they can’t make rent and are food insecure.

Stop begging the US for help. We’re tired we’re poor we have nothing left for you or anyone else.

Fix your own damn problems for once.

Again, I don’t really know where you think I, an American, am begging the US, but uh, you have fun seeing pictures of murdered innocents and thinking “Oh boy, I hope my taxes are lowered by 2$ this year!” instead of “Jesus Christ, that’s an atrocity”, like any decent human being.

Reread, try again. I fully believe you’re purposefully misreading at this point to support your own bias. I’m happy you’re rich. I’m happy you have never suffered. I’m happy that you hate your fellow Americans to the point you love to see them suffer so someone somehow be might not have a bad thing happen to them.

Really, I’m happy for you. If there’s a draft I’m making sure you don’t dodge it. Some of us have paid that price, sounds like it s your turn to play hero, kiddo.

                  I’m happy you’re rich.

Literally living under the poverty line, but whatever makes you feel better about treating your own indifference to genocide as some kind of weird moral flex.

I’m happy that you hate your fellow Americans to the point you love to see them suffer so someone somehow be might not have a bad thing happen to them.

Ah yes, “America First” - just as pro-genocide as it was the first time the Nazis trotted it out!

No, Americans first, middle, and last. And I don’t believe you’ve ever been actually poor. You’d care more about the problems you have than spending another 20 trillion on endless wars. And I know you’ve never been near the military or any kind of service relating to your morals, you’d realize the harm reduction option is keeping the US out of all conflicts for the rest of time.

Someone is always committing genocide kid, at least according to the US government. We are not the world police. Stop sending the poor to die for pointless wars. Stop refusing to fund our people even a little, just to afford infinite rockets and bombs.

Peace is not fascism no matter how much you war mongering conservatives want it to be.
