This picture confuses me a bit… maybe one of you fine folks could enlighten me? Snails are known carriers of various parasites? Is this not something one has to worry about with pet snails? You see the people letting them crawl over their face and arms and stuff… are parasites not a concern at this point?

Or is it just an accepted risk like parasites with any other pet that could potentially carry a parasite?

No joke though, snails are cute as hell and I love having them as pets. I have had colourful apple snails for my fish tanks and they’re pretty darn cute and fun to watch. I have a an air bubble machine and the snails love going up to it and getting lifted by the bubbles, and they stick out their body and surf it down to the gravel again. They also get to recognize you and mine would make their way up to the top of the tank when it was near feeding time and they saw me. They loved it when I would bring them cucumber or zucchini.

Snails and slugs are one of the few insect infestations I get excited over. They vary so widely in sizes, they’re cute to watch. They used to steal cat food from a bowl we had outside.
