The tag thing was a (quelle surprise) a contractor fuck up. Allegedly they didn’t have a wrist tag small enough but the protesters wrists weren’t outside the sizing specs of the shackle.

It reeks of malicious incompetence (at best).

You’d think that there were bigger crims to deal with, but never mind; we’ll just hammer environmental protestors instead of actual criminals.
