minus-squareplu@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up0·3 years agoThat’s a misunderstanding. Any service, regardless of where is it based, is obligated to comply with the GDPR if they conduct business in the EU. I can put a GDPR deletion notice out for any American company, too.
Being from a different capitalist state with the same class interests does not make a product better or more trustworthy in any way.
