I sometimes think about what Marx would make of the failed spartacist uprising and the successful soviet revolution. Germany was the one place where the “ideal conditions” for socialism were present - Urbanised workers, industrial, politically aware, etc. and it got crushed.
It’s not like he didn’t account for it, but I wonder whether that would have made him revisit some things. I’d also like to know what he’d main in smash. Then again he could be a LoL type.
Likewise I am curious about how knowledge of climate change (to the apocalyptic extent we see it) would affect his work.
