Summary

Elon Musk has taken control of key federal agencies via his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), staffed by a group of young engineers with little to no government experience.

The engineers are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran. None have responded to requests for comment from WIRED.

These individuals, aged 19 to 24, have gained access to sensitive federal systems, including those of the Treasury Department and USAID.

Experts warn that Musk’s unchecked influence poses security risks and a potential government takeover.

    19-24…

Like army bootcamp recruits. At this age you can tell a kid to do anything and they’ll do it just to prove how badass they really are.

This is the age to get them if you want gung ho, eager soldiers who won’t ask questions.

None have responded to requests for comment from WIRED.

Who has spoken with them? Because some conversations need to happen.
