How is the department whose entire job is cutting government spending going to help upgrade another agency?

Right? I used to take solace in that I could usually fly on Carly Rae Jetsons or the odd airbus but the recent military-involved helicopter collision and gutting of ATC makes that no longer comforting

Plus, a tin can full of recycled air isn’t great for spend a lot of time in considering covid, bird flu, etc

A military helicopter nearly crashed into my fucking house a few days ago, flying the lowest I’ve ever seen a helicopter flying, with a pack of like five other dipshits who were barely better.

I remember back on the old chapo sub, when some chuds came in making helicopter ride jokes, I replied that they’d just crash into a residential area like a bunch of dumbasses. Now I’m not sure whether I won that back-and-forth or if they did lol

the passive voice safety system failure thumb-cop

I was just talking to some people today about how when the DOGE-Os break a bunch of stuff, they are just going to blame it on someone else, and like clockwork …

so I’m just working under the assumption that every one of these “thingy broke for a few hours” is exactly the fault of these dipshits trying to crowbar their way in

like the medicaid site going down last week, no chance in hell that was a “normal” accident, these freaks fucked up something trying to get in

    From the replies:

    @Trumptonian- Bold move! 🚀 Can we trust crypto-savvy tech to fix such a critical system? Thoughts? 🤔 #AviationSafety $uap $ufo $drones $trump #bitcoin #crypto

@MarkTuwen86- Well, it looks like DOGE is aiming for the skies—literally! 🚀 While upgrading air traffic control systems isn’t the usual role for a meme coin, the unpredictability of the crypto world never ceases to amaze. Who knows, maybe next we’ll see blockchain-based flight plans?

@Heartz0fvalor- @elonmusk why do i have to pay property tax in Spokane

The rest is MAGA hogs and meme coin scams.

  • the FAA’s primary aircraft safety notification system failed for several hours!

And how many flights were delayed there, Mr. Smartest Man Alive?

(Zero, because the FAA failed over to a backup NOTAM system instead, because they have redundancies)

    OK some possibilities here:

    1. Stinky and the Unfuckable 6 are messing with air traffic control to trap civilians in the country, eroding trust and eventually making flying too risky.

    2. They’re actually just that stupid and they want to install Tesla AI in air traffic control.

I see it as pushing boundaries for control of agencies with more coup potential. “We’re already in charge of the OPM and FAA. Why not NOAA? Why not the DOE? May as well throw in the DOD and intelligence apparatus.”

I’m under the impression that passenger-liner ships basically don’t exist after the airline industry killed them off? That those that do are long leisure cruises for rich boomers costing ten times an airline ticket. That COVID shut down spots on cargo ships, and cruise ships are definitely more expensive and don’t tend to allow you to flee from the US to say Europe or anywhere specific but exploited parts of the third world around the US turned into vacation spots.

I have heard you can pay for a room on board if you are shipping stuff internationally. Never done it myself and I doubt it’s glamorous.

I saw a recent post from someone trying to get out via that route and the conclusion seemed to be that those trips have been suspended indefinitely since covid. They probably don’t exist anymore or exist in such small quantities via such hoops and mazes that they might as well not.

Lol remember when we said DOGE would probably just be a way to pacify Musk?
I forgot how much trump likes to golf and how much Musk likes to post. Making a law is basically posting except people are forced to care about it
