Watching the hyper paranoid society raised by the red scare (and its legacy) turn on itself like this is absolutely beautiful. I’m almost sad that the USSR isnt around to see this happen, but maybe we should be thankful that the conditions created by American hegemony are the very conditions necessary to cripple it from within.
