Of course Connecticut is the only state that actually has taste
“Based on google trends analysis”
Obvious bunk, the United States is one nation under Modelo.
Hell yeah. Gimme that Especial, baby.
source: bullshit (based on google trend analysis which is basically worthless)
I am always typing the beer i drink into google. Its the main thing about me.

Colorado being Blue Moon guy country is funny
That’s surprising. Blue moon is such a disappointing beer that I didn’t even realise they were from Colorado. We have microbreweries in every strip mall and so many state-level ones that make way better beer.

Especially since Coors comes from Golden CO
As does Blue Moon, it’s the original Coors fake “craft brewery”
No
all of this is baby piss in comparison to glorious czech alcohol
pilsner urquell and budvar my delicious refreshing friends
there’s a reason Czechs drink the most. we figured this shit out a millennia ago.
Like the “if socialism was a beer” Czech Mlìko
I’m always kind of curious about the polish beer that’s really easy to get in my part of the 'states, but i’ve quit drinking to avoid setting back my diet
How is PA not Yuengling
Anakin.
The chart is bullshit, it was Yuengling until last year where it lost it’s spot to Bud Light. Both can get fucked though my heart only has room for Iron City.
Google trends probably has all of these wrong lol.
New York and Florida finally have something in common.
Also fucking Guinness in SC and GA? Who the fuck is drinking porters in that weather?
Also I think this maybe a bit statistically misleading. Modelo is actually the most popular beer in the US right now, however I’m guessing it’s consumption is pretty evenly distributed across the country (makes sense, it’s cheap, good, easy to drink, available even at shitty liquor stores), so it’s not the favorite in any particular region.
they’ve always had something in common
NY has been solidly blue for a while, even if that’s mostly because of NYC and like 2 other metros.
Also fucking Guinness in SC and GA? Who the fuck is drinking porters in that weather?
…granted, I haven been out that way in a few years, but I will single-handedly skew that statistic if I wind up moving there in the next year or two.
So I’ve actually spent some time living in Myrtle Beach SC, and I recall there being a sentiment there among beer drinkers (I worked as a bartender at the time) that the only beers you could get there are beach themed ones (lagers and fruity IPAs) and they’d go crazy for something darker. I guess maybe Guinness caught one? Idk, this is totally anecdotal and several years ago.
Does American beer even really count? I wouldn’t have guessed Georgia and South Carolina drink that much Guinness
Wisconsin being Miller and not New Glarus is a travesty. Mr. Xi, please rescue the 'sconnies by providing them with access to socialized Spotted Cow.
Miller is basically served up with a frequency that we may as well serve it out of bubblers. Personally I like our local porters, should I have a rare drink or two.
Guinness? For G.A?
Damn, must be polling the upper class, not the ones going through a box of Natty Light a night.
The modern Guinness drinker is a metropolitan living gentleman or lady who prefers hard liquor or mixed drinks but if they have to get a beer based on social dynamics sighs and orders a Guinness while lamenting it not tasting the same as their fall vacation to Cork. They’ll get 8 Guinness pints for $75 usd plus tips and drive up the count.
The country bumpkins and migrant workers split their vote for the various light beer and can’t afford to drink parties causing the win to go to the Irish favorite. At 4% abv and a mild but distinguished flavor it’s no surprise it can come out on top in a state dominated by its large metro population.
it’s weird to me Budweiser is coloured blue and coors red, I thought it would be the opposite
Beer just tastes like carbonated soggy bread to me :(
You say that like it’s a bad thing
You got to get the beer with stuff in it if you want beer to taste different
I have had hipster beer with grass in it once. It did taste different alright
I once had a beer that was brewed with what they claimed was over 1,000 Snickers bars in every batch
It poured thick and tasted like chocolate and peanuts
It also cost almost $10 a can, but on the other hand it was also 10% ABV, and I get drunk real easy so it kind of evened out
beer that was brewed with what they claimed was over 1,000 Snickers bars in every batch
It seens like there might be multiple Snickers beers??!
That sounds so weird but I probably wouldn’t mind if it tasted bad once I got drunk and I did make my own hooch sometimes with strange ingredients before (often tastes quite good though while being cheap). The only beer with 10% and above I have ever seen were these russian ones with a huge fat can.
Different styles are radically different. Pilsners range from that “cheerios dissolved in some seltzer” taste to pre-skunked beers like budweiser and heineken that start out tasting like they were opened and left out in the sun for a week. Hoppier beers tend to taste better and cleaner, some saisons are good (and some are awful, like Blue Moon), ales in general tend to be ok-ish and at their worst are just mediocre. Wheat beers tend to be that bread taste but cleaner and crisper than the slimy tasting filth that American lagers tend towards.
Lagers in general are usually pretty bad or mediocre in my experience, with the exception of something like a doppelbock which has been consistently good.
I dont know about beer, are any of them good?
Guinness and Corona are, the rest are all light lagers which are a single step above water
I’m constantly surprised how good Central and South American beers are. Modello and Corona can be found anywhere, but I’ve had a few different microbrews from Mexico and all of them were yummy.
Guinness is like chocolate soda and also good. Really filling, though. Always feels like a whole meal by itself.
What SIMW said. They’re pretty much the equivalent of beer flavored sodas. Great on hot days or right after finishing work, getting home, stripping down, and slugging out. Personally I’m biased towards Corona, but blue moon comes in a close second for me for that fragrance of citrus.
Quite honestly it’s better and cheaper to just drink water or some kind of tea, but once in a while it’s a nice treat I can enjoy more easily than a bottle of soda.

As someone with no beer or booze knowledge at all, it just seems like a very expensive drink that never tastes very good.
Fucking hate Heineken, and Fucking hate that they sponsor all the rave scene in Brazil so every party sell exclusively Heineken. Everyone is smelling like puck.
