    Yeah, I get that. But are the differences that immense? 3400 is on the upper end for 2 people in Germany afaik. The guys talking about 13000 kWh in a year.

      It’s likely he has poor insulation, runs his AC very cold, has incandescent light bulbs he leaves on all day, and has older appliances that are energy hogs (HVAC, fridge, etc). He’s on the very high end of per capita usage in Austin, too

        I have decent insulation on a 25 year old house. Was just redone about 5 years ago. I do tend to run my a/c under 80, correct in that one. My usage is mostly computers I would bet. I ended up shutting down the homelab this month to see the impact, but my NAS is likely the real bad guy for power.
