I’ve noticed that a lot of previously active users deleted their accounts

A lot of invested users have came and went since I registered. I guess they’ve experienced some kind of online burnout? Thanks to their efforts the platform have grown a lot, never saw so many new usernames in the comments!

Some people come and go. Some get tired of certain communities. I know a few ppl started posting less once the “shit x says” subs started getting super spammy and that’s around when ppl started complaining about how many there were. I personally blocked all of them because I was getting tired of them filling up the pages.

Other people just get caught up with life. I personally haven’t been super active lately due to life stuff.

Then some ppl periodically delete and make new accounts to prevent them from being tracked. Lots of ppl on Hexbear do this and they also delete comments and posts that are older than 6 months as well.

Not sure who you’re referring to but I’ve seen a video of a babushka speaking of the before times when Russia was the Soviet Union. She spoke very fondly of back then. It’s a translated video on YT IIRC
