One of my good friends spent a long time in the military. He’s a smarty-pants and only missed one question on the entrance exam, meaning he got to pick his job. So he chose to do satellite observation. The amount of times he relayed the observations demonstrated only the presence of citizens, yet drone strikes still occurred, really started to push the limits of his sanity. Thankfully, he got out without having to dishonorably discharge. But it seems only a small handful of people with similar stories are able to see it for what it is and realize the chaos they were a part of wielding in the world.
