The fact that the license plates are withheld "cannot be described in any other way than as a unique attack on a company operating in Sweden.”

The fact that Tesla refused to sign a collective agreement cannot be described in any other way than as a unique attack on swedish worker rights.

    Get fucked.

Except Timbro the “liberal think-tank” (corporate lobbyists) currently bombarding our media with statements that the unions are blackmailing Tesla instead of bargaining. They don’t mention that IF Metall has been trying to reach an agreement with Tesla for FIVE years already.

Those people are trash and should be kicked out of our country.

When you’re Musk, you’ve never once had to negotiate a single thing in your life. You want something so you throw money at in and sycophants will take care of the rest. This isn’t a question of him not thinking ahead, this is a question of him never having seen real consequences before and not knowing how to act in response.

Wow, good luck with trying to apply US tactics in Swedish society.

Suing will not get you anywhere except ridiculed.

The right to protest is protected by the equivalent of constitutional law.

But then on the other hand, you have “granted” yourself a “carte blanche” to exit the Swedish market afterwards.

“We did everything we could, we even sued the state but to no avail”

Nope. It hasn’t been decided yet. The court ordered that Tesla is allowed to collect the license plates them selves from the manufacturer. It is a temporary order for the duration of the hearings.

As Johandea wrote it it’s a temporary “work around” that has been put in place during the time the case will be decided upon. The workers in question (union members within the postal services, and all others) are still on strike.

I have a hard time seeing that they will ever win over the unions in court and that the court will deem the strike illegal and force unions that are on strike to revoke it.

As said, (sorry but I miss wrote “protest”) the right to strike is defended by law.

Aaaaah … Doing it the American way… Fantastic! I need to pop some more popcorn.

I’m confident that Tesla will get their license plates eventually. Eventually.

LOL there really are some situations in which it doesn’t matter how rich you are, and this is one of them. Sweden will make Musk bow down to reason, or else he’ll close operations entirely in the country.

Apparently he won that lawsuit according to Swedish news. It was a really fast turnaround on it.

The strike is from postal services not delivering license plates so Tesla sued for the right to send a dude to collect them personally from the transport agency.

I guess a local stooge from Tesla HQ has to put the plates into his trunk and hand deliver them to each Tesla.

Teala did not win, yet anyway. Tingsrätten (the lowest judicial instance) ordered Transportstyrelsen to give out the plates until the matter is resolved in court.
