Do you host any Fediverse instances for family (Mastodon, etc)? Curious if you get your family to use it and what headaches when linking to other instances.

It was hard enough getting everyone on the same text messaging service. I think migrating to a federated service will break the family 🤣
I’m still considering it to replace my small discord server. But that’s a group of tech-y friends who like to try out new things.
I don’t like the centralized nature of discord, but everytime I look I cannot find a similar experience in FOSS. Do you have anything?
I’ve been looking at https://libervia.org/ as a potential replacement but I’m still in the early stages of research.
