The state of Saxony-Anhalt has said people who do not recognize Israel's right to exist cannot become naturalized citizens. The eastern state's interior minister said Germany's other 15 states should take similar steps.
I’m not the gp, but I thought the article was awfully vague in that regard. It can easily be argued as prohibiting any criticism of Zionism and/or settler colonization.
And that’s by design! Just google “saschen nazi” and you’ll find tons of problematic shit from Nazis and right-wing extremists which this state does absolutely nothing against. But now they suddenly care about anti-semitism when it comes from foreigners? Yeah right ;-). This law for sure won’t be used in good faith but will be abused to deny as many foreigners as possible.
