For example, I would like to reply to this post: https://mander.xyz/post/752832

But when I do, the site simply hangs indefinitely. I have tested this on different instances. I have seen this happen only when the poster is from a kbin instance - has anyone else experienced something similar?

Try specifying a language, probably English. That solved a reply for me once. I do think that was from Friendica though but it’s worth a shot.

Yep, my fix was to go to my local copy and join from there.

    Try something like this: https://lemmy.wtf/c/YOURCOMMUNITYNAMEHERE

Lemmy.wtf is federated with kbin, so that was a roundabout way to get in there as well. I assume there is a similiar way to answer posts on different servers?

Hmm, I am not sure I follow! I think that you are referring to how to get to the post. I am able to get to the post, the problem is that when I try to “post” I get the spinning wheel forever, like this, the comment does not get posted:

No, not how to get to the post, but how to get to a place that accepts your reply. I know that while I tried to join, you try to post a reply. What connects us is the spinning wheel. I bypassed it by joining via my “Local Copy”, so you may be able to post a reply via your Local Copy as well.

On a sidenote: I tried to click the text field on your screenshot on three seperate times.

How bizarre. I’ll keep that in mind! Thanks for letting me (us) know. :D
