Tesla owned vehicle so you won’t see much footage since they’re probably trying hard to suppress them. totaled by a corolla. and the only person to sustain any type of injury was driving the CT. corolla 1, cyberbox 0.
"The CHP summary of the accident: “On December 28, 2023 at approximately 2:05 pm, CHP Redwood City units were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on SR-35 (Skyline Boulevard), south of Page Mill Road. Our preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on SR-35 southbound, south of Page Mill Road, at an unknown speed, when the driver, for unknown reasons, turned to the right and subsequently struck a dirt embankment on the right shoulder. The Toyota then re-entered the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, and crashed into a Tesla Cybertruck traveling north on SR-35 northbound. The Tesla driver sustained a suspected minor injury and declined medical transportation. No other injuries were reported. It does not appear that the Tesla Cybertruck was being operated in autonomous mode. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.”
This damage is structural, the chassis of the car is one solid die cast (like a big hotwheels car), you can’t repair that quarter panel and the likely very bent frame below it without replacing the entire bones of the car. And if you don’t repair it, that spot will forever be it’s Achilles heel, and effect it’s characteristics in all accidents (also, just generally, be a major liability to everyone on the road).

I can’t wait for the Musk bubble to pop and take out the world economy with him. That’s just capitalist efficiency!
be the change you want to see in the world
My idiot fucking tech bro teammate tried to convince me that the truck actually does have crumple zones and that it’s safe
This thing looks rigid af from that damage, that thing does not have sufficient crumple
and declined medical transportation
Even someone stupid and wealthy enough to buy that car is not sufficiently stupid and wealthy to afford ambulance ride XD
Tesla owned vehicle. Probably an employee with no workers comp
I wonder if the company will charge him for the repairs.
i honestly didn’t realize they were actually producing these things
According to that thread there are 10 of them on the road. This one is already totaled and there’s potentially another one down.
There’s definitely way more than 10, I’ve seen 3 irl just in the bay
You might have seen this one. It was driven by a Tesla engineer who lives in San Francisco and it appears to be a company vehicle.
Imagine, your boss says to just take the company car to go do something, and it’s a Cybertruck
“Hello boss, i got stuck in 1cm of mud”
Is silicon valley really that cursed?
Yup, one of it was in my office parking lot and one was from a mutual friend cause he’s an engineer at Tesla and got a rest vehicle
Also here’s bonus silicon valley Tesla torture. Also my office
Jesus Christ
it is more cursed than you could believe, and it leaks into the entire software industry
same… I’ve been seeing them around a bit in the past couple months.
Thoughts and prayers etc
i’m gonna believe it’s a joke until i actually see one on the road
I saw one last night. Ugly as fucking hell. It just looks like a piece of shit.
Not all technicals wear guns
Isn’t the cybertruck one whole body?
That’s a write off.

Joint-Dictatorship of the Proletariat of Oppressed Nations, a maoist term, although i’m not sure what it has to do with Toyota.
Toyota Hilux technical
Holy shit some people even did this:
Polisario
When I parked my Corolla
Slightly scratched your Cyber Truck
Ok I smashed your Cyber Truck
Dash cam footage from a passerby after the wreck.

Tight winding road with no shoulders and obscured sightlines. I bet they see a ton of accidents there, given the wealthy location with young techies in cars way too powerful for their driving proficiency.
the chassis of the car is one solid die cast (like a big hotwheels car),
the deep state did this
noting this incident for my upcoming history of auto-class warfare
I cannot WAIT to see the Cybertruck’s consumer reports crash test ratings.
