      Avian influenza hooks up to a different receptor to transfer compared to human influenza. Humans have the receptor but it’s super deep in our lungs, thus leading to the “hard to catch, hard to spread, very deadly” aspects of the disease.

      It would be hard for it to retain its deadly nature and still become easy to spread for humans.
