I noticed over at lemmy they do not allow anyone to post content that suggest vaccines to be ineffective or not effective. Even calling it “Right Wing” To suggest big Pharma might not have your best interest in heart. They can do what they want on their instance but if you want real debate with both sides allowed to express their opinions wolfballs is the best instances around. We welcome discourse of all kinds. Moderators are allowed to moderate their communities how they see fit.

And below that they even claim to be antifa. Antifa is known for not allowing communication to take place which in my opinion is very fascist.

IMO This is no different than the Nazi’s burning books or Mao burning the books of China destroying thousands of years of culture and history to the point that to study Chinese medicine Chinese have to travel to Japan where ancient Chinese medicine is still preserved in practice and in written word.

Thats the great thing about the fediverse though. You get to pick where you share and read. The power is much more in the hands of the users not admins. Most users want freedom to think.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend and thank you for all the shit post, thought post, troll post, all the post.

I very much appreciate the poster realcasey over there for pointing out how much that Antifa comment backfires.

I read nutomic over there say that he seemed to want to allow people to post whatever on covid because they can’t decide what is and isn’t “misinformation”, but idk if they allow that discussion in practice or whatever

I just clicked over there and saw they just banned some antivax community. nutomic is a great guy who has a good head on his shoulders but other admins seem to just ban anything Facebook bans

It’s been truly mindboggling for me to see what the left has been backing these days, the antifa or left of like a decade ago, I remember being antiwar (but that became “uncool” once Trump didn’t start wars), being against Big Pharma (but apparently injecting GMO “vaccines” has become cool as well as mandating it), was ok with people saying basically anything because they thought censorship was “fascist” (but I guess now “misinformation” is a bad thing they’re cool with censoring)

        feels very upside down

The antidote to the nutjob elites of the casino gulag is to post actual science links and sources with reputations to protect. Admittedly, science is not all pure and free of politics, and a lot of it is unintelligigible to non-scientists who want a summary, but journalist-style discourse is often completely useless.

Thanks for this clarification! Very helpful. I’ve also made a neutral COVID community here, @CovidInfo@narwhal.city, partially in response to all the strongly antivaxx content on Wolfballs (I’m wary of the COVID vaccines but don’t think COVID or vaccines writ large are hoaxes necessarily)

      CovidInfo

Looks good! Needs some UI work to be more readable tbh though. Link for the curios

Also I’ve never been antivax. Not in the least. My son is actually completely vaccinated. He is up to date on all his vaccines. I am anti Forced vaccination and do believe the studies for the covid 19 vaccines were not done properly and there needs to be more of them.

That’s good! The info on the community just seemed heavily skewed which is why I came to that conclusion.

I’m looking forward to future vaccines, I do believe more traditional vaccines will be released within the next year or so.

I agree with you, Casey, glad to see you in the comments. I pointed out how great your post was re: Antifa in my own separate comment.

I think it honestly is the case that science will be more or less capable of, under normal circumstances, developing vaccines for specific strains of the Coronavirus that will have roughly the same effectively as the vaccinations that people occasionally get for the flu. But it is an ever-evolving virus, and so I am not sure it will be any more effective in the long run than flu vaccines.

I think the concerns people have about the current vaccines are completely & entirely justified, though. I consider myself a vaxx skeptic more than a conspiracy theorist.

            Thank you!

I don’t think the effectiveness of current vaccines as a pre-treatment is in doubt, but nobody seems to know for sure what the long-term side effects are. Some say there are heart risks but those risks haven’t been quantified. I suppose that’s why usually these vaccines are developed over the course of years instead of months.

I wish the info wasn’t so obscured, censored and witheld, because I would love for these vaccines to be more trustworthy than they are now

Anyone is welcome to create a community which only post pro vaccine content. I keep telling people we are not anti vaccine. We are not right wing. We are freedom oriented. Thats it. Discuss how you want. Think how you want. Each community here is meant to be like a mini website that the moderator/s own and run as they see fit. I’m personally center right on many things but that doesn’t mean i’m not tolerant of left wing views. I’ve never banned anyone for a political opinion unlike other instance.
