People across the fediverse keep referring to wolfballs as the right wing instance.

I love all our right wing members but that has never been the case.

If you have not seen my Frog in the well video I think that explains our stance pretty well.

Did Jesus refuse to eat with the tax collectors? No, wolfballs does not turn people away because their “politics” are dirty.

Nor do I attempt to cull the post to fit a certain narrative.

Shit post however you want. Say what you mean, mean what you say.

I don’t know what he is talking about. Nothing is even currently blacklisted. Its called hidden communities now. When certain content is super offensive I may hide it from people if they are unsubscribed. That takes a lot of heat off me.

And the more content here the less that will be needed. If the site becomes 95% Jew nose memes I have to do that kinda stuff. If its 80% not offensive content I don’t really care.

My goal is always to work toward more freedom not less.

When we first started a few people came and would make like 20 communities called fuckniggerkikes and I deleted some of those. That’s just spam.

Would that some of the redundant Wolfball communities would be deleted. Diluting the same conversation topics across dozens of communities is how reddit alternatives die.

I wonder how much “nuance” in content there can possibly be between “Whatever,” “Free Forum,” and “The Default Community.” Or between all the meme communities that post similar pro-Trump, anti-shitlib content.

BUT that’s just my impression as a newcomer, I don’t expect it to be taken with much weight. I don’t want to seem like some agitator who joined the platform just to shit on it. I want to see it grow.

This has been discussed and there was some attempt by wigglehard to merge like communities. Every small reddit alternative needs a catch all community like whatever and somewhat like freeforum. the default community should be more like announcements. CovidHoax, no new normal, and covid memes really could all be put together.

Creating and building up communities is a big part of the fun in reddit style forums though. People want to feel ownership over their community like it’s their own little website. So telling people to post in another forum doesn’t work well. Ruqqus had the concept of yanking post from a catch all community to a specific community and I thought that worked pretty good.
