Hi. I’m new (as I think we all are). I tried to join, and the “subscribe” button is just text, it doesn’t do anything. Does anyone have the same problem? I’m posting from another instance.

    If the Subscribe is there but it’s unclickable (if you’re viewing from your instance), create a post and back out instantly see below, it will be there when you go back. Sometimes you have to click it a couple of times and sometimes it says pending which can be a visual bug.

      Usually, just clicking the community link at the top of the sidebar is enough to re-enable the Subscribe button. OP, it’s a bug that’s being addressed.

        Try what @thayer@lemmy.ca said next time. I just updated my instructions.

        Check that thread out anyway, if you’re here in houseplants I’ve tried to narrow down some plant communities and Mastodon instances and user lists for “green” stuff.
