His point is that although the meaning is the same, the grammar is different. “Mi serĉas por pomo” means: “I’m searching for the sake of an apple”, if you want to say “I’m searching for an apple” you say “Mi serĉas pomo”. Alex recommends translating serĉi as “to seek”, so the grammar and the meaning fit.

I’ve also heard of tracking dots, apparently all recent color lasers add these to every print.

Are there any other tracking tricks the paranoid amongst us should be aware of?

It’s one I got from a lot we were throwing away at work. I don’t mind working with PIC microprocessors, but the 16C series is “One time programmable”. I tend to go through a lot more iterations than one, even for a simple program, so these chips aren’t useful for me.
