Not trying to stir anything up, but I’ve been using Hexbear more recently. It’s nice since they have more users, but I’m still kind of mixed. I see way more ‘Western leftist’ types on there (and the bad takes that go along with that).
Also apparently you can’t mute or block people on there, which seems illogical. It’s still better than most other sites, but I prefer Lemmygrad much more.
I vastly prefer Lemmygrad’s UI to Hexbear’s. Hexbear loads extremely slowly for me, to the point of frequently being unusable. Hopefully we’ll eventually be able to federate
Really? I never noticed that. They have some really good threads summarizing contemporary events, and I haven’t seen many bad takes on the NATO-Russia war (for example)
Yes. I do like their emoji system, but I frequently have to refresh to post.
I’m probably just being over-crititical. Most people there are great, but I do see some suckdem type posts there sometimes.

That’s what I have really liked about Lemmygrad, too. Usually on social media it’s constantly sifting through shit takes and other garbage and that just doesn’t have to happen here. Plus I have loved every person I have talked to on here its just yeh
Exactly. Honestly, I don’t want to interact with clueless libs on here. If I wanted to do that, I’d go anywhere else.

I’ve been finding myself usually on hexbear now, but thats only due to a current fight in which the chromebook I have blocks lemmygrad and not hexbear. I use the library computers on weekdays to check up on my favorite commies.
That’s nice. I’ve actually been enjoying it more recently. Both sites are fun. I actually enjoy my time on them. It’s almost like all the fun of Twitter with none of the downsides.

Yes. I like it overall. Still get some of those ‘western ML’ type posts every now and then though.
