Why do so many people use “all”? it doesn’t seem logical.
Just subscribe to the communities you’re interested in like you did on reddit.
Lemmy isn’t that big and missing new communities is easy, so it’s convenient to block all instances and communities you don’t want to see instead of following a few

But if I always sort by subscribed, how am I supposed to find new communities and grow niche communities?
I usually just go to https://lemmyverse.net/ and either search for a specific topic, or sort communities by new.
Well everyone has their way, I guess. I like my all feed sorted by new, because then I can see a lot of diverse content, so I have a reason to want to prevent it from getting spammed by bots.
