I had my wisdom teeth out in my early 20’s and I can remember fighting with the orthodontist about feeling something sharp in the socket during my follow up appointment. He tried to convince me that there was nothing there and the pain was in my head until I grabbed the forceps out of his hand and pulled a sliver of bone 1/4 inch long out of the socket myself. He didn’t like me much anyways because I took a swing at him when being put under anesthesia.
