    Yup. I heard this explanation:

    Florida - If you’re convicted there, no voting for you.

    New York - You can’t vote if you’re incarcerated.

    Florida - If you’re a resident of Florida, and convicted in another state, the voting rules for that other state apply.

    So unless Trump is in prison on election day, it looks like he’s good to vote.

        Or give him a 5 year sentence… so if he wins he’s in a NY jail cell for the entirety. That’s what this timeline is calling for

          I mean, sure. if i were the judge I’d absolutely give him 4 years per charge and force him to serve them sequentially. I don’t care if it’d get knocked down on appeal. that’s a pipe dream though but one day in jail on election day would be a massive “FUCK YOU” to trump. I’d love to see him go ballistic on it.

      It’s not misinformation, Felons often can’t vote in Florida.

      The key word here is often, which is absolutely correct. There are a number of offence types which prevent you from voting ever again, you can’t vote while incarcerated (currently around 150k people), and you can’t vote if you’ve got things outstanding like payments related to your criminal conviction.
