    Yup. I heard this explanation:

    Florida - If you’re convicted there, no voting for you.

    New York - You can’t vote if you’re incarcerated.

    Florida - If you’re a resident of Florida, and convicted in another state, the voting rules for that other state apply.

    So unless Trump is in prison on election day, it looks like he’s good to vote.

      Merchon should just make him have to be in prison on election day. just to fuck with trump.

        Or give him a 5 year sentence… so if he wins he’s in a NY jail cell for the entirety. That’s what this timeline is calling for

          I mean, sure. if i were the judge I’d absolutely give him 4 years per charge and force him to serve them sequentially. I don’t care if it’d get knocked down on appeal. that’s a pipe dream though but one day in jail on election day would be a massive “FUCK YOU” to trump. I’d love to see him go ballistic on it.
