There’s a lemmygrad matrix room many are a part of, and definitely lots of posts on the lemmy fedi about the issues with discord

As Savoy mentioned, we mainly use Matrix, it would be better to move a platform that has more freedom. It works very similarly to Lemmy and e-mail, where you have federation, but there’s also more privacy and autonomy, and we can’t be shut down.

I’ve been putting off the verification on discord. I’ll probably do it eventually. I’ve never really used discord before, but I imagine it will have some of the same problems Reddit has?
