I saw multiple comments highly upvoted on lib subs about how this isn’t censorship because they are companies and they can do what they want. But somehow this makes it okay, but China censorship not okay.
In America, corporations are the ones holding the power and thus get to dictate what the narrative is. In Socialist states, the proletarian govt gets to dictate it by not allowing bourgeoisie to participate in media.
Just like communists restrict bourgeoisie from gaining power, corporations will restrict free speech the instant capital is threatened in a serious manner.
So treat this as a talking point for libs whenever they bring up freedom of speech.
Libs will never get censored though.
They love defending the status quo. They love snitching. They hate when someone rocks the boat or makes them uncomfortable.
It’s a perfect ideology for capitalism.
The only issues they’d make a fuss over would probably be reproductive rights, gay rights, and voting rights (last two to a far lesser degree). Many of them are already anti-trans.
