Helloo all! I subbed to the reddit sub but never posted anything and I hope being here will change that. I’m very happy to have signed up.

Does anyone use Mastodon (its like a federated Twitter)?

      Yeah, I get that…the format is tiresome. I haven’t really found much to follow so I thought maybe people here had some ideas/accounts to follow.

    I used it for art related stuff but the community was completely dead. The interface wasn’t too bad though. Its kinda like Twitter except each community has its own domain

    It’s such a great application, but I just don’t like microblogging as a format. Some people swear by it but I think there’s too much noise, and the top of every feed is the loudest or the most recent voice (neither of which I think is useful). I think the reddit/HN-like model is better for general discussion, so I also think I’d prefer Lemmy to Mastodon.
