    if either the website or the app for a service is faster than the other, i’ve found that it’s always the app. That’s not to say the app isn’t still much slower than it needs to be, or that the app is always faster, but i have yet to see a website that is faster.

    Modern Apps are just webviews with specific caching. The only need for an app after around 2012ish is if you need offline access to data. Sensors, etc can all be accessed through browsers and that has been the case for a whole generation (human generation) now.
