Not only has it been around since the 80s they’ve called anyone who proposes the Democrats should do something about it “psychotic”, “histrionic”, “overreacting”.

I know several genuine committed real leftists (anarchists) who intend to vote for Kamala even though they know she’s a fascist because they’re that afraid Trump is going to actually round up and kill leftists and trans people. One drew a parallel with Hitler – the German Communists viewed him as a buffoon whose incompetence would guarantee Communism a chance to rise in Germany, but instead the Nazis targeted and killed the Communists.
I don’t have a counter, I acknowledge things may go this way. But I still can’t do a damn thing about it; it would be a complete violation of my ethics to reward the Democrats for genocide and I still find the Democrats more frightening and competent agents of Fascism than the Republicans.
