Initiative boosters would be of limited use to my lifestyle, but after losing my wallet earlier today, I would really appreciate a subdermal pocket.
I just want a new spine that doesn’t hurt all the time
This, just give me the full joint replacement package and I’ll take it from there
Disregard Pondsmith
For all of its numerous faults Shadowrun has way cooler implants with far more interesting world implications. Not everything is designed for combat and murder
You got things like taste or scent boosters so you can enjoy food better or deal with stinky things. There’s sleep regulators, internal air supplies, a lighter in your fingertip, systems that let you plug in chips to instantly know a language or skill. Stuff that would actually be rad to have instead of “arm with gun”
Which is also rad but still
Shadowrun is dead to me since the CGL accquisition. NOTHING newer than SR4A exists in my head, and even that needs either no matrix or heavy, heavy homebrew. FrankTrollman(pbuh) has the most interesting delve into the “why” of netrunning that I have seen with his “Ends of the Matrix” splat.
I also feel you are kind of misrepresenting what I’ve seen of the setting, but it could just be part of the overall tonal shift from 2020 to RED.
I had a symbiote that filtered out all poison but I had to eat twice as much.
I could go with Gorilla Arms
Always wanted to pitch a barrel at a motherfucker
I thought you would need a linear frame with its grafted muscle and bone lacing prerequisites as not to snap your spine.
I mean, if money were no object and I could chrome myself up real good, I would definitely just become a total body cyborg
Oooh, which one though?
Probably like Adam Smasher
Just become a mobile weapons platform
Kiroshi cyberoptics. I feel like people really sleep on how useful super eyes would be.
This is the one. Night vision, zoom, video or photo. HUD. I’m sure there is more.
Sandevistan for purposes.
David Martinez shows pretty comprehensively that gear alone isn’t enough, though I applaud your enthusiasm.
